The Folly Wildlife Rescue
Trust is a charity (Registered Charity 1091857) dedicated to the
rescue, care, treatment and rehabilitation of injured wild animals
and birds.
In February 2005 Folly Wildlife Rescue launched The Wildlife Centre Project, an ambitious plan to establish a dedicated wildlife hospital and education centre to serve Kent and Sussex. The Trust needed as a first stage,to raise £100,000 that would enable it to purchase a suitable site for the hospital. By September 2007 this target had been met and it moved forward to the second stage, the funding of the hospital buildings and facilities which it estimates would cost a further £85,000.
The Trust is now searching for a site within 5 miles of its present operation at Eridge near Tunbridge Wells. If you would like to help it achieve this dream, now well within reach, you can become a Founder, joining the hundreds of people, schools, companies, trusts and animal welfare organisations who have already done so. Folly Wildlife Rescue helps literally thousands of wild animals and birds every year, that have for the most part fallen victim to human activities. We are still though only helping a fraction of those in need.
The Trust hopes that the proposed wildlife hospital will be the first of a series across Kent and Sussex.
If you would like more information, please go to our Founders page. If you would like to visit us to see for yourself the work the Trust is doing, then you are more than welcome to contact us.
In 2005 we admitted into care 2955 sick and injured animals and dealt with thousands more wildlife-related enquiries. In 2006 the number of admissions rose to 3140 and in 2008 it again increased to 3736!
